Full-Scale

understanding size and create a common visual and physical language

Full-Scale project had been developed by Bilge Nur Saltik through the SEED IN research grant by LTU. Full-Scale high-fidelity prototypes shown created by Director Saltik and was photographed by a professional during Detroit Design Month 2021.

Focusing on casting, construction, and fabrication the SEED Grant objective was targeted toward a new curriculum in the ID program. My job was focused on looking at techniques and systems within those topics to help gain further insight for the Casting & Construction class.

This project was hands-on and consisted of ideation through prototyping and 3D modeling.

Prototype 01

Fabricated using a laser cut prototype then using a vacuum mold to create the casting.

Medium: Concrete

Prototype 02

Fabricated using a 3D printed prototype then using a vacuum mold to create the casting.

Medium: Plaster

Prototype 03
